Match Report
Heanor Juniors 0 Littleover Dazzlers 7
Gavin Warren - 02/12/2008
First Half
We weren’t expecting this away game to be a classic with the pitch being in such a poor condition. We had already won Heanor this season at home 17-0 and I have to say even though they didn’t trouble us Heanor had improved from the last outing. The game was won in midfield today, with Greg and James H on the wings they played really well. Nathan and James McDermott in the centre were both solid in there tackles. Our defense played well also as Heanor didn’t even trouble the keeper which was down to the defense doing a great job. Dazzlers first goal came on 15 minutes, a great corner whipped in from James McDermott found James Neal who rose above everyone to score a great header and his second of the season 0-1. Dazzlers 2nd was yet again a great cross this time from Greg on 22 minutes that found Ryan unmarked to head home Dazzlers 2nd 0-2. We pinned Heanor in there own half for the majority of the 1st half, and on 30 minutes a good gross in from Ollie McElroy set up Ryan to calmly slot his shot passed Heanor’s keeper 0-3. James Hainsworth playing on the left was having a good half, he was causing Heanor no end of problems and a great run skipping round one defender to find himself in the 18 yard box just about to shoot, gets tackled from behind from a Heanor defender that had no intention of connecting with the ball and the ref points to the spot and rewards us a penalty. Ryan steps up and scores a well struck penalty 0-4 Hat-Trick. Two minutes later Ollie McElroy finds himself on the score sheet he turns one defender then two and hits a hard low cross shot that gives the Heanor keeper no Chance 0-5 HALF TIME.Second Half
Ollie Cammidge played out field in the 2nd half and James Neal went in goals to give Ollie a run out with him not having a lot to do and it being such a cold morning. It’s great for a Manager when you have a few versatile team players in the squad. Second half was much more scrappy, we hit the post and cross bar, there was one or two bad challenges from Heanor but that didn’t bother the lads they just got with it and on 50 minutes a nice through ball from Ollie McElroy sets up Greg to score a hard low shot that gives the keeper no chance. 0-6. Two minutes later Heanor struggled to clear the ball and Ollie Cammidge unmarked smashes a shot into a empty net 0-7 I wouldn’t say it was great match but we won, scored seven and kept a clean sheet away from home, what more can we ask for. Well done lads.
Man of the Match
